faith is about believing in things yet unseen. or as hebrews 11:1 puts it, now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

yeah. we all get that, but what exactly IS faith? well. Ps Khong gave a very good analogy of a chair. if someone asks u, do u believe that that chair can take your weight? faith is not saying: yes i do, and then just walk away, faith is actually sitting on the chair! but let me get this straight. faith is not psyching yourself up to do the impossible, for example if the chair really couldnt take your weight, it never will take your weight, and when you sit on it, it will collapse. faith is based on facts, like studying the chair, seeing its well made, declaring that its fit for u to sit on, and actually going ahead and sitting on it.

similarly, faith is putting your trust IN god, the creator, and whos word is TRUE. so let go, and let GOD!

on another note, farewell thaddeus. guess we didnt really know each other very well, guess we never will. still, may you sing in heaven with the angels above. Goodbye.

to all who need help,

i dunno...
ever had a situation u wish u weren't in? i do. alot. it can begin in almost any way. hearing something u wish u didn't, finding out something u wish u didn't noe, or maybe, being rejected by someone u wish u liked. ...

life's like that. its so full of strange articles, ups and downs that we all have to go through... unfortunately, the downs seem to us to drag longer and the ups too short.

but really. look on the bright side. why is there so many challenges? i guess, the god of the bible has the answer. 1st peter 5:10 says: but the God of all grace, who hath called us into his eternal glory by christ jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strenghten, settle you. (KJV)

i dont know who may be reading this, but this is for you. if you think that your problems persist and never seem to go away, remember then, that it is all temporal, no matter how long it may drag on. in the verse quoted above is a promise, that after u have suffered a while, god will strenghten u. it's God's way of molding you, and preparing you for eternity.

God loves us so much, that he died for us (long story... i'll tell it another time :).....) and he will not give us more trials than what we can bear alone. if u find too much at hand and are about to burst like a streessed-up teacher, this is what God says to you:

"come to me, and i will give you rest".

i may not be able to understand how you feel, but God does. this comes from personal experience. he is always there, like the bestest friend in the world, and he loves us so much, there is nothing he will not do for us. so.

will you accept his help in your life?

that is the question.

ah well. guess the adrenalin rush kinda fuelled me throught the night as we played "i have never". basically, it's this confession game, not unlike truth or dare, and basically, haha. it was so nice lah. knowing my sg inside out. i guess that really bonded us together.

anw. went back to school to sign the mep scholarship thingy. haha. mom took a train down frm braddell to bedok just to sign it too haha. had a nice long chat with amos later, and went down to toa payoh with grace after that. haha. and i'm still high!

arrgh. i'm blogging this at like 2:17 in the morning... and yes ppl. i've been working on a STUPID pre u sem animation project for the last 12 and a half hours. yes. i'm super pissed. but haha. i suppose thats what u get for playing all your other days in pre u sem.

anyway. we're supposed to do this 7 minute video clip, for submission. yah. anw. so i decided to bring my group to do this stop-motion animation. it went quite well for the 1st 1 hour. then it all fell apart for the next 5. and then, it went pretty smoothly for the next 3, and for the last 3 hours its been total hell, cuz adobe premier doesn't understand the meaning of compassion. i mean, we've been trying to export the stupid thing for like the last 3 hours, but we keep getting videoless videos....

so now, we're re-editing the video thingy. on windows movie maker, which like the world's most dumb video editing software. and its pretty poor quality. and i just feel like screaming!

u noe... theres a saying that in singapore, meritocracy defines our society, but honestly, i beg to differ. let me tell you why.

meet henry.

The hours he spends behind the counter at mcdonalds is almost as much as the hours i spend in tj (basically, a lot). if i'm not mistaken, he did pretty well for prelims and definitely deserves to go to a reputable jc. like tj. ok whatever, the point is that he didn't. he chose to work at macs. now i'm not completely sure of the situation, but its got something to do with helping out, if not supporting, his family. and it's not just the first 3 months. he's been working odd hours since... well... 3 years ago. he doesn't deserve to be there, its just that our meritocratic society has loopholes in the system. he doesnt get a fair chance to compete, having to do in weird hours at macs, and even if he does well and gets a scholarship, who's going to support his siblings? i'm not too sure of his background, cuz i didn't want to go there... to sensitive, but well, in a way, i just feel sorry for him.

so i got him to send me a hot fudge sundae.

yesterday, we had a bbq at my place. this is the story of what happened.

ah huat, tze woon and a few of us met in j8 at 11 to go stock up on supplies.

then we took a bus down to my place. here, changhoe looks every bit like the ah beng he was cut out to be.

so, we came to my house. and killed time till about 4 o clock...

but when we got to the bbq pit, it started to rain.

so they camped under the shelter talking cock.

while we hardworking ppl went to bbq burgers and ribs. in the rain.

see. the slackers.

then the rain stopped, and trinity celebrated.

though jonathan scolded jingliang. not sure why. something to do with calcy wanting jonathan to go touch her butt or something. dunno?

while changhoe discovered that he'd wet his pants in the rain, and gave us a full view of his butt. -censored-.

then ashwin and joshualee came. though they stayed only for half an hour. something to do with scip business. dunno...

so we played and ate and played more and ate less...

then, we all crowded over to my place again. to talk cock and do STUPID things. again
